FCS @ Cardinal Newman, Monday, October 15th.

FCS girls tennis team traveled to Cardinal Newman in Columbia to play the first round in SCISA State tennis tournament.  The girls had some tough matches winning only one singles match.  #1-Kathryn Cox had the lone win for FCS.  Way to go girl! #2-Alyssa Holbrooks came close to winning but lost in a third set tie-break.   It could have gone either way.  Nice playing Alyssa.  The team was not able to win any of the doubles.  The team finished the year 8-9.  We finished 6-4 in the conference.  Great playing team!  Our goal for next year is to go undefeated in conference.  This year there were no seniors on the team.  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the girls tennis team this year!  We'll see you next year. 

A special thanks to Coach Donna Snell.  We could not have gotten this far without her.  She has been an asset to the team.  She has taught them several things from how to play tennis to teaching them about the Lord.  She has been a godly example in the girls' lives and we are very thankful that she took on this endeavor this year and look forward to next year!  Thanks Coach Snell for a great year!
