Hi! I’m Cindy Arwood, and I currently teach 3rd Grade at FCS. I graduated from Southern Methodist College, and have now been teaching at Florence Christian for 38 years.

My first year out of college I taught at a small Christian School in Hartsville. I learned through my best friend who had been hired to teach in the high school here at FCS, that there was an opening in 3rd grade. I applied for the job, and the rest is history.

There are so many things I love about teaching. I love the relationships I can have with my students. Many of them have lasted for years and years. It is such a blessing when I get to teach children of students I taught. The most extraordinary thing I love about teaching is when a child’s eyes light up with understanding when they have been struggling with a concept. Being able to share my faith with my students at FCS and seeing some of them come to Christ is also a huge blessing.
