Esther Berry

Meet the Teacher:

Hello! I’m Esther Berry, and I began teaching at FCS in 1994. I previously have served as a teacher in our 5K and 1st grade classrooms, and I have a B.S. in Psychology from Liberty University.

Math was not MY strongest subject in school … so it is rewarding to hear students say, “Oh, I get it!!!” when I am teaching math. I love seeing the “light bulb” in their brains come on when something finally makes sense. I am also passionate about teaching students honesty, immediate obedience, and to think critically.

Why FCS?

It can be discouraging to see what children are exposed to and taught in today’s culture, but my prayer is that I can be a part in shaping my student’s worldview toward a biblical worldview.

How Pre-Algebra Prepares Students for Their Next Stage in Life:

The math I teach gives students a strong foundation for learning higher-level math in upper high school and college classes. They are also introduced to many math-related and science-related careers that they could pursue in the future.
