Macy McArthur

Spanish/Yearbook

Meet the Teacher:

Hi! I’m Macy McArthur, and I currently teach Spanish and Yearbook at FCS. I graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education, and I’ve been teaching at my Alma Mater since 2022!

I think that education, or being a teacher, is more than just learning the content or preparing the students for tests and college. Building relationships with students and teaching them about how to view things or face varying life situations from a biblical perspective is one of the most important things a Christian educator can do…and when you see your students living like Christ and serving Him through the trials and circumstances they face, it is SO rewarding!

Why FCS?

I chose to teach at FCS because, primarily, I want to reach and influence the next generation for Christ. secondly, as an alumna, I want to give back to the place that invested in me so much!

How Spanish Prepares Students for Their Next Stage in Life:

Learning Spanish, or any language for that matter, is such an important skillset to have in today’s world. Not only is our world becoming more globalized and the necessity of bilingual workers is growing, but in Spanish class, we also study a lot about Hispanic cultures, which in turn prepares students to be able to interact with people of other cultures with understanding and empathy.
