Neil Minton named Athletic Director
Florence Christian School names Neil Minton, Athletic Director

Florence Christian School is pleased to introduce their new Athletic Director will be Neil Minton. He will assume leadership duties immediately.
Minton has worked at FCS since 2012 as the Head Football Coach and JV & V Girls Basketball coach. During this time he has led the Eagles to two SCISA 2A State Football Championships in 2013 and 2018. The Lady Eagles basketball team has also experienced consistent success with multiple region titles and reaching the SCISA Final Four the last two seasons. Prior to his time at FCS, Minton served as Assistant AD for 7 years and Athletic Director for 2 years at Colleton Prep.
“Neil Minton has proven himself to be someone who truly utilizes sports to teach life lessons and develop young people spiritually, emotionally and physically. At FCS, we want to excel in athletics but most of all we want to impact young people for Jesus Christ and help them in developing a biblical worldview. This can be done in the classroom, over a meal or on the athletic field. I believe that Coach Minton will continue to carry out this Christian athletic philosophy,” said Bill Monroe, President of Florence Christian School. Pastor Monroe added, “We are very grateful to Scotty Keefe for 15 years of service and wish him the best as he pursues continuation of a family business.”
Florence Christian School offers Christian education for students, 3k – 12th grade. Current enrollment is nearly 600 students and the school offers 16 athletic teams for boys and girls. For more information check out their website at www.fcseagles.org.
