Kristin Coker

Meet The Teacher:

Hi! I’m Kristin Coker, and I currently teach High School English and coach JV Cheer at FCS. I am an FCS Alumni, graduated from Bob Jones University, and have now been teaching at Florence Christian since 2019.

What I love most about teaching is being able to connect literature to scripture, studying many authors, their works, and explain why they write the way they write, and what we can learn from it. Plus, teaching is just SO much fun building relationships with kids while helping prepare them for their futures!

Why FCS?

I chose to teach at Florence Christian because my husband, Garrett Coker, and I have a heart for Christian education. We felt called back to teach and coach to the place where we were poured into, so now we have the blessing to do the same for this generation.
