At FCS, our Pre-Kindergarten experience focuses on providing a positive Christian learning environment for every student. Pre-K is an opportune time to see a child develop in their passion for learning new information and new possibilities. We want to see each of our Eagles thrive in a classroom that balances a structured routine with exploration and fun!

3K to 4K
Friendly Farm Animals help our 3K students grasp new concepts like
• Upper case letters
• Shapes
• Colors
• Numbers 1-10
• And more!
4K to 5K
The first few weeks of 4K are spent in review of what was taught in 3K to help prepare students for new ideas and catch up new students who might still need an introduction to some of the 3K material. Since reading is a big focus in 5K, we introduce reading beginner words from short vowel word families to our 4K classes. They also become familiar with letter sounds, lower case letters, and more numbers to count!
Work Sheets in our Pre-K classrooms not only cover the curriculum, but challenge fine motor skills like tracing and drawing lines, matching sticker shapes, holding pencils and scissors correctly, and putting together puzzles!
Activities and interactions inside the classroom provide opportunities to educate in problem solving, sharing, kindness, communicating, playing well with others, and other areas of social + emotional development.
